openENTRANCE Scenarios and Case Studies Workshop
23 September 2019 from 11:30 24 September 2019 from 14:00
The EU-funded openENTRANCE project (open ENergy TRanstion ANalyses for a low-Carbon Economy) is hosting its first workshop on 23 and 24 September 2019 in Brussels. openENTRANCE will develop an open and integrated modelling platform for assessing low-carbon transition pathways in Europe covering the multiple dimensions of the energy transition. The workshop aims to discuss the opportunities and barriers of low-carbon transition pathways in Europe, as well as case studies that are useful to analyse the transition and to run modelling analyses.
The first day of workshop will discuss long-term scenarios for a transition to a low emission energy system in Europe, cosidering different potential economic, social and technologic developments. The second day will delve into the case studies focusing on different key aspects of the energy transition, for example, the role of different technologies to enhance the flexibility of the energy system, or the energy demand behaviour of communities. Participants will include academia, policy making, energy agencies and companies and civil society organisations.
To register and for questions contact Iker Urdangarin (email@example.com). Participation via videoconference will also be possible.
